350p Adventure, for YOUR retro computer!

Here you can download the game Adventure, 350 point version, by Will Crowther and Don Woods, for dozens of platforms, including 8-bit and 16-bit computers of the 80s and 90s.

The game is sometimes called Advent, because the system it was created on in the 70s would not allow filenames to be more than six characters long. This game is sometimes considered as the very first text adventure.

This particular version of the game came out on 24 November 2024, and is built on the PunyInform library. It was adapted from the Inform 6 version, by Graham Nelson et al. The game is very close to the original game in gameplay. Type HELP in the game to read some background story.

The disk images for various systems were created with Puddle BuildTools for PunyInform.

The collection is available as a ZIP file (3.4 MB). You can also play the game online.
